Collaboration & Accompaniment

Collaborative playing is central to Charlotte’s musical life. Beginning at a young age, she accompanied her siblings, friends, and mom’s cello students on piano.. As a teenager, she performed chamber music on Seattle’s King FM radio. During her college years she frequently accompanied peers for their juries and recitals.

Charlotte has worked with many different soloists from beginners to professionals, including: Suzuki and classical strings, brass, woodwind, vocal performers. She has also worked with small and large ensembles including choirs, congregations, big bands, pit orchestras, chamber groups, percussion ensembles, dance bands, and more.

Charlotte is an experienced music director who takes joy in the process of small and large group music collaboration. She has directed for choirs, musicals, workshops, and ensembles. She currently serves as Band Director at Solon Springs Middle and High School.

A strong accompanist gives the soloist(s) confidence and joy as they prepare for their performance. Charlotte is available to accompany for recitals, jazz performances, competitions, auditions, juries, and recording sessions.
